Martin Feri
*1976
Martin Feri creates graphic paintings based on steel sheet. And not only this metal element gives the paintings of Martin Feri a special character and structure. The unique face is inspired by the technique. The sheet is etched by various types of acids, subsequently painted and ground several times in a row. The rust then permeates through the layers to form unique structures. After the lower layers have been preserved, Martin paints the picture with acrylic paints. This layer is then finely ground and varnished several times. Ultimately, the images consist of 20 to 50 layers.
