Zdeněk Janda has adapted medieval painting recipes from Cennino Cennini (II Libro dell Arte, ca.1398) and applied them to the detailed execution of his work. With modern materials he completed the technical aspects of the artwork were it would be most effective. Janda has a reputation for his very well worked-out frames - actually also pieces of art - which he makes on his own.
